Vivo V20 Review and Price in India

Vivo V20 phone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor with 8 GB RAM. We have used this processor in Redmi Note 9 Pro and it is capable of providing good performance.

Smartphones have been getting heavier in the last few years. The average battery capacity is increasing and smartphones like Samsung Galaxy M51 have come with 7,000 mAh battery capacity. Where the smartphone industry is going, if you don’t like it, Vivo has brought some relief with its new slim Vivo V20. But, has Vivo focused only on design in its new smartphone?

How did we feel at first glance Vivo V20? This is the first impression of this phone. One thing that was quite unusual with Vivo is that Vivo always uses odd numbers for its smartphones.

V series smartphones include smartphones like Vivo V15, Vivo V17 and the recently launched V19. So will the year 2020 change this practice also? At the moment, the point is on this side. Vivo V20 has a different name and a new design approach.

The new Vivo V20 smartphone is thinner than Vivo V19 and has come with a dudrop notch instead of a hole-punch camera, which appears to have taken the company a few steps back. Coming to the back of the Vivo V20, it will look like a smartphone Vivo X50 rear panel design, which has a stepped design for camera modules.

The Vivo V20 phone features a triple rear camera setup, with a primary camera located at the top while the remaining two cameras are under the primary camera. However, like vivo X50 Pro, you will not receive a gimble stabilization system in this phone. This camera module features silver accent, which gives a premium look. In vivo V20 you will find three colour options, moonlight sonata, midnight jazz and sunset melody.

We have a sunset melody unit with gradient finish in its back. As soon as the light comes on the back panel of the phone, colors on its different angles turn from blue to purple, purple to orange. It is arguably more appealing than the other option. This version is a little thicker at 7.48 millimeters and its weight is 1 gram more than the remaining two options.

Vivo offers glass back that gives a premium feel and has a matte finish that does not allow fingerprints to come in. The Vivo V20 features a 20:9 aspect ratio with a 6.44-inch AMOLED display and thin borders on all edges. It has full-HD + (1,080×2,400 pixels) resolution and HDR10 support.

The phone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner. The power and volume buttons are placed on the right side of the screen, which is also much easier to use with one hand. Tell me, the power button has a textured finish, which separates it from the volume button.

The Vivo phone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, which has 8 GB RAM. We have used this processor in Redmi Note 9 Pro and it is capable of providing good performance. Vivo has provided 128 GB storage in Vivo V20. If this storage is not enough for you, you can also increase it to 1 TB.

For the base variant of the phone, you have to pay Rs 24,990, while if you want to buy its high-end variant, you will have to spend Rs 27,990. Speaking of software, vivo V20 is one of the select smartphones that work on Android 11. This phone works on FuntouchOS 11 based on Android 11 and our one-unit phone is equipped with September Android Security Patch.

The UI of the phone was very well known and very easy to use. The three-button navigation has been enabled by default, but you also have the option to switch to swipe guester. The Vivo V20 also features some pre-installed apps and suggests downloading some other apps during setup that we skiped.

Coming to the camera setup of the Vivo V20, it has a 64-megapixel primary sensor with F/1.89 lens, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with F/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with F/2.4 lens. It features a 44 megapixel selfie sensor with F/2.0 ‘Eye Autofocus’ lens. The Vivo V series is known for its selfie focus smartphones, so it’s interesting to see how the V20 performs.

If you are excited about the battery, you will be happy to know that Vivo has packed a 4,000 mAh battery in this phone. Although it is less than some other smartphones we tested recently, it can still be considered an average for modern smartphones. In addition, you also get a 33 Watt Flash charge USB Type-C Quick Charger in the smartphone box.
